Djibouti is located in east Africa.It is
located on the northeast coast of Africa.
It is situated on the strait of Mandeb.
The strait of Mandeb is near the east
and seperates the Red Sea from the
Gulf of Aden. The Gulf of Tadjoura
opens into the Gulf of Aden which 
seperates the eastern half of the country.
It supplies much of it’s 230 miles of 
coastline.
 
 
 
Djibouti is bordered by Eritrea to the north Ethiopia to the west and southwest and Somali which is bordered to the south. 
Djibouti is divided into 5 regions: 
Ali Sabieh region,
Arta region,
Dikhil region,
Obock region,
Tadjourah region
Djibouti is mainly a stony desert, with scattered plateaus and highlands. Rainfall is rare and vegitation is minimal. In the months of October-April the maximum tempreture is city average 87 degrees F.
Throught the hot months it is 99 degrees F.
 
 
Djibouti is built on coral reefs which extends  into the southern entrancs of the gulf. Djibouti’s lake Assal is the lowest point in Africa and the second lowest in the world.
